What I mean by the gun play feeling loose is that the guns feel inconsistent to hold and fire. Lack of atmosphere? What game were you playing? Only once a new developer (Reto) took over did the game finally die. HnG was the frontrunner for this game play for years despite being horribly outdated (like red orchestra). These and many other glitchy functions ARE currently game breaking (try a flamethrower). IN actual fact devs have been largely ignoring these glitches for content based patches. MOST games in my experience (~200hrs) are a steamroll. In fact I would go the opposite and say that like warthunder this game has MINIMAL balance as players are not matched by any ranking. But no, maps are far from balanced (hence the continuing work on them). INB4 'play lonefighter' suggestion which is ironically filled with bot players to make up numbers. Very valid complaint from the OP as a squad of men 20m behind you shooting outside cover at will is a big giveaway. If you'd played more you would know the 'stay function' auto cancels after you move 20m away.
It would be fine but players are too often confused and bored with the clunky mechanics to upgrade each individual troop/gun/squad.Īny smart player will farm your AI before killing you as they literally walk into incoming fire. Gaijin has layered in innumerable grinds in order to make the mountain seem insurmountable (sometimes just to understand) and encourage players to buy. Again this is a common complaint on the forum. The last 2 decades of gaming say bots in multiplayer is a sign the game is about to die (trash last ditch option to populate the world).Īgain there is nuance of definition between endless grind to get meaningful additions to combat and having sufficient progression content. There is a difference between progression and taking on a second job. Hit reg in this game is notoriously poor, combined with a lack of localized servers makes the gun play/movement feel 'loose and unweildly' (NB: calibre is not the defining contributor to weapon usability esp in bolt actions)īot allies are typically enjoyed by those who enjoy the padded stats they offer, farming AI to get past pay-to-win grind thresholds. Your bias for the game (or lack of experience in it) is obvious as the issues the OP brought up are commonplace and longstanding issues in the game forums. Lack of atmosphere? What game were you playing? TOPKEKĬonsider this feedback to your feedback to his feedback. BF V broke literally everything BF was known for and DICE pissed it's own fanbase off in the most pathetic and miserable way possible.īecause this one feels rushed, incomplete, and devoid of almost any life or atmosphere I'm a BF veteran since 2005 when 1942 came out and loved every single BF game except Hardline. And don't even get me started on this piece of trash that's BF V. In terms of engine, performance, playability, athmosphere and general gameplay, Enlisted is far superior to H&G. H&G is a prime example of horrible pay to progress and possibly even pay to win. Overall, Just play heroes and generals, battlefield 5 or any other better ww2 FPSĮxcuse me what? H&G must be literally the worst example you could possibly come up with. On this you are absolutely right, but it's not gamebreaking at all. Doors,Ladders,Windows, and vaulting are broken and buggy as fuck For fucks sake, EVEN NORMANDY IS BALANCED. AFAIK for now, there are no maps where one team always stomps the other. The maps aren’t that well designed or fun to play onĪnd this is based on what? The vast majority of maps are both beautiful and well designed + balanced. Also: Hold ALT and set formation to wide.
You can order your squad to hold positions. Your squad ALWAYS follows you everywhere and as such you always spawn right where you died and more often then not they also give you away. Got killed by a bush wookie? Press Y and get him. You have at least 5 soldiers in each squad. There are several very good reasons to implement skill trees and unlockables. Insane amount of skill tress and progression bars thrown in your face with no explanation or reasoningĪgain, this is a bulk of the content.
Yes, in an ideal world there is no progress and unlocks, but the entire gaming industry (including the successful ones) of the last 2 decades disagree with you. Remove this and you remove at least 50% of all replayability and incentive to play. This system has no point other than MTX and ends up feeling frustrating and unfun 99% of the time and I can’t help but feel it would be better without it.
Ever shot a full caliber 7,62mm rifle? The gunplay is very close to Red Orchestra 2 and therefor exactly what the target group of this game wanted. The gunplay is loose and feels unwieldy like you’re not in control
